HNC Professional Dance Performance
Higher National Certificate
The HNC Professional Dance Performance course is made up of 12 SQA unit credits. It comprises 96 SCQF credit points.
The SQA Units that we deliver at this level are Ballet, Jazz, Commercial, Contemporary, Body Conditioning Anatomy & Injury Prevention for Dancers, Choreographic Skills, Graded Unit and Introduction to Performance & Production. The additional units that we deliver are Heels, Hip-Hop, Prep for Audition/Industry Prep, Open Choreography, Latin, Acro, Tap, Singing and Acting.

The SQA units that we deliver at this level are Adv Ballet, Adv Jazz, Adv Commercial, Adv Contemporary, Adv Body Conditioning, Teaching Skills, Contextual Studies, Portfolio, Graded Unit and Adv Performance & Production. The additional units that we deliver are Heels, Hip-Hop, Prep for Audition/Industry Prep, Open Choreography, Latin, Acro, Tap, Singing and Acting.
Associate Programme
Running Fridays from 4pm to 7pm in Glasgow City Centre, the programme offers a rotating schedule of styles, techniques and training approaches taken directly from our full-time college curriculum, giving students a real insight into vocational dance training in a supportive environment. Students also have the opportunity to perform in our Christmas and Summer Showcases, gaining valuable performance experience.
The programme runs from September to June, with a break in July and August, at £80 per month. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your training, gain vocational experience or take the next step towards a professional career, our Associate Programme provides the perfect foundation.
